ROTARACT CLUB OF KIGO SEVEN LAKES GOLF HOSTS MOTHER-CLUB PRESIDENT

It was such a tremendous evening as the Rotaract Club of Kigo Seven Lakes Golf hosted their mother club President, Pres. Kin Kariisa.

Fellowship commenced on as usual with President Loius Shamim, President Rotaract Kigo Seven Lakes Golf calling the audience to order starting off with the Rotaract norms, introduction of visiting guests and Rotary information.

 

During the fellowship, a Club status report was projected and presented by Charter President Kato Isa, now the Club Adviser.

The Rotaract Club of Kigo Seven Lakes Golf’s 2025–2026 general status report reflects steady progress across its core focus areas of impact, reach, and member development. The club has actively participated in regional initiatives such as the Rotaract Earth Initiative, Kenya Edition and the Mama Kariisa Golf Tournament alongside their Mother-Club the Rotary Club Of Kigo Seven Lakes Golf.

 

The club has also engaged in strengthening its community outreach through the Katwe Immunization and Blood Drive, where 102 units of blood were collected and 202 children immunized in partnership with key medical and Rotaract stakeholders.

 

Its flagship 7 Lakes Courses Challenge has produced 54 graduates, significantly enhancing leadership capacity, fellowship, and club visibility, with plans to expand participation and establish it as a major annual fundraising platform.

 

Through their signature project “Ubuntu Project’, in MpigiDistrict, the club has demonstrated holistic community impact by promoting inclusive education, donating essential learning and health materials, upgrading sanitation facilities, and adopting Wisdom Hub Primary School as a long-term partner. Additionally, the launch of the 7 Lakes Lounge Podcast has created a platform for thought leadership and engagement, with ambitions to broaden its reach and sustainability. The club now moves toward completing critical infrastructure improvements under the Ubuntu Project, marking a strong close to its current phase of service and development.

 

The club further demonstrates strong innovativeness through its introduction of Artificial Intelligence as part of its operations and engagement strategy. By integrating AI, the club is positioning itself as forward-thinking and adaptive to modern technological trends, enhancing efficiency in communication, content creation, and knowledge sharing among members. This move not only strengthens internal processes but also complements initiatives like the 7 Lakes Lounge Podcast by enabling more dynamic, data-driven, and scalable interactions. Overall, the adoption of AI reflects the club’s commitment to innovation, relevance, and continuous improvement in delivering impact and expanding its reach.

President Kin started off his speech with a simple but impactful statement, “A giving hand never lacks’ which implicates that when you are kind, generous, and willing to help others, you will not go without in life which reflects the core spirit of Rotary and youth service, where members are committed to serving others and making a positive impact in their communities.

Additionally, he urged the youngsters to always be intentional in whatever they do as this will enable and encourage them to become respectable individuals in society and world at large.In his speech he said,

Be intentional. If you are given something at work, be the best at it. Bust also, as you are doing it, let the world know that you are the best at it.”

He praised the club for their inclusiveness in society through the completed projects & partnerships and their active innovativeness which enhances the club’s visibility and engagement.

 

The evening was also graced with two past District Governors, PDG Steven Mwanje and PDG Francis Xavier Sentamu, several Rotarians from Rotary Kigo Seven Lakes Golf and other different clubs.

 

The Rotaract Club of Kigo 7 Lakes Golf has demonstrated a well-rounded and impactful year, marked by meaningful community service, strong member development, and growing visibility both locally and beyond.
